Timber Windows & Doors with Aluminium Cladding

Aluminum cladding

Aluminium-clad timber windows and doors combine the warmth and natural beauty of wood with aluminium’s weather resistance. The external aluminium shell protects the timber from moisture, UV and temperature swings—reducing repainting and maintenance. Fenestrum’s cladding system also supports a wide range of RAL colours to match your exterior design.

  • 78mm, 100mm profile windows, Patio/PSK, HS systems for terrace, folding doors, as well as outdoor doors can be additionally clad with aluminum profiles from the outside

  • Sash, casement windows aluminum profiles not attached

  • The aluminium binding system of the German manufacturer BUG Holzplus is used

Bug aluminum wroughting system can be painted in any color according to the RAL palette, choosing its gloss or matteness (matte coating up to 30%, standard gloss 30% and more intense gloss over 30%), coatex coating, when aluminum without matteness also acquires a kind of grumbling.

Aluminum profiles protect the window from atmospheric and mechanical influences. We recommend choosing aluminum-wrought products from the outside for dark colors such as black, brown, dark gray, dark blue and their shades.

When painting wood with the aforementioned dark colors and their shades, such colors will absorb the sun (UV) rays much more than light ones, as a result of which the coatings will age much faster and the window will have to be repainted. Also, dark colors can lead to the penetration of wood extract, i.e. resin, to the outside, which is not considered to be defective or poor-quality production. Aluminum profiles protect against the above risks.
