This is a practical and aesthetic solution for both renovation and new construction. The relatively small profile installation depth (76 mm) and narrow visible frames allow you to maintain more glass area, more light in the rooms and a subtle view of the facade. At the same time, the window remains warm, silent and airtight. This system is worth choosing when you want an A+/A++ energy efficiency level, good sound insulation and reliable security for a house or apartment, without excessive complexity.
Thermal properties
The system construction depth is 76 mm, the profile has 6 chambers. Such "layering" of the profile retains heat and reduces thermal bridges.
The Kömmerling 76 MD ("centre seal") window uses three sealing zones: outer, inner and central seal. The additional central seal improves thermal and sound insulation and reduces air permeability.
Even the standard version of this system meets the requirements of an energy-efficient (low-energy) house. The heat transfer coefficient of the system frame Uf ≈ 1.0 W/(m²K). This means that the window helps to significantly reduce heat loss.
- Such windows actually work in A+ / A++ class homes and can even be used for passive houses when the appropriate triple-glazed window with selective coating and "warm" frames is selected.
Profile system and strength

Kömmerling 76 MD is a German profile system with 6 chambers and a reinforced structure, which allows the use of steel reinforcement and the production of larger windows without sacrificing stability.

The standard solution is designed to keep the window rigid and not wobbling, even with larger frame sizes or large display areas. This is especially important when you want larger glass areas in the living room or kitchen.

The innovative profile design allows for quick and clean window installation in both renovated apartments and individual homes. This means less hassle when replacing old wooden or older PVC windows with new ones.
Glazing options
The system allows the use of modern energy-efficient glass units up to approximately 50 mm thick (i.e. a full three-glass unit with selective glazing and a warm thermal frame).
Available Options:
3-glazed, selective heat-saving package with "warm" thermal frames - a maximally warm and quiet solution for A++ class and passive houses.
2-glazed window (a more economical option for renovations where price is important, but tightness and safety are still required).
Glass can be equipped with additional functions (solar control, higher sound insulation, safety laminated glass). This allows you to adapt the window to the specific location of the apartment or house: busy street, south-facing, high noise background, etc.
Sealing and acoustic quietness
Kömmerling 76 MD has three sealing levels (external, middle, internal). An additional central gasket reduces air ingress, improves sound insulation and helps maintain a comfortable microclimate in the room.
The multi-layer sealing system, combined with a thick triple-glazed window, significantly reduces street noise, making this window suitable for both the city and homes near busy roads.
A correctly adjusted and installed window reduces the risk of fogging and ensures comfortable ventilation as needed, rather than through unwanted micro-"holes" in the frame.

Available forms
Windows can be manufactured in standard rectangular shapes for both opening and fixed parts.
The construction with steel reinforcement allows for the design of larger display segments, sliding terrace solutions, or non-standard solutions where a larger glass area and a narrower visible frame are required.
Design solutions for arched or non-standard windows are also possible, as is done in the production of wooden windows (square, triangular, arched, etc.), only here it is important to assess the statics of the profile and the weight of the glass.
Hardware and security options
You can choose from a range of fittings from standard security levels to solutions that meet RC1 / RC2 / RC3 burglary resistance classes. This means additional burglary protection measures, especially important in ground floor or terrace areas.
German-quality mechanisms made of stainless steel, coated with zinc and aluminum, are resistant to wear and weather. This allows the window to remain stably adjusted and easy to open for longer.
The structure can be equipped with additional safety glass and additional locking points along the entire perimeter of the sash to make it more difficult to break into.
Colors and finishes
Classic white PVC-U finish.
Wood imitation laminates (interior and/or exterior), which allow you to visually approach the look of natural wood, but maintain the ease of maintenance of plastic windows.
Flat, metallic, matte, satin colors – you can combine the aesthetics of the facade and interior, for example, darker on the outside and lighter on the inside.
Kömmerling offers a special AcrylColor or proCoverTec technology: a colored acrylic coating forms a strong, resistant layer when heated, which protects against scratching and fading, so the facade remains bright and tidy for a long time.
This color fastness is especially important for darker colors, which traditionally heat up more in the sun.
Maintenance and durability
The PVC-U surface does not require repainting like wood; it is sufficient to clean it periodically. This is especially convenient in apartments and houses where there are many windows and they are more difficult to reach.
Thanks to the resistant surface coating and tight gaskets, the system remains easy to maintain: the windows do not require complex maintenance rituals, and operation is essentially limited to regular inspection of the opening mechanisms and keeping the gaskets clean.
Windows are made only from certified materials and labeled according to European standards, which means consistent quality control and clear traceable origin.
Sustainability
Kömmerling profiles are manufactured without the use of lead stabilizers – instead, calcium and zinc-based stabilizers are used. This reduces environmental impact and meets modern requirements for safer raw materials.
Regrind PVC is used in production, so the window profile is not only warm and airtight, but also contributes to the cyclical nature of the materials.
